These cars are quite confusing to those who do not know what they are. The engine for these cars, a straight six, was made by Rolls-Royce under a contract with Austin. But it is not a "Rolls-Royce" engine. It did not appear in any model of Rolls-Royce. At least this one does still have it's proper Austin grille shell on it. Many of them have had phony Rolls-Royce ones put on them in an effort to simply defraud people. Not unlike the plethora of so-called Rolls-Royce Phantom limos around today, that are in fact Lincoln limousines.
