Details on This Other Vintage:
Location Fort Mill, South Carolina
Description I was leaving Baxter Village after attending a Ferrari show when these came rolling through the main street. Don't know if they were headed to spectate the show or were owned by people in Baxter Village, but I don't see too many first-generation Corvettes around, so it made for a cool combo.
All sorts of cars. There was an Elise and an older Viper in the neighborhood my aunt and cousin used to live in. Other than that, off the top of my head, I remember seeing two or three Continental GTCs, two or three GranTurismos, a Quattroporte, a gated 360 Spider, another older Viper, and a tuned M6. I'm sure I've forgotten many of the cars I saw around there. My cousin showed me a pic of a blue 360 Modena at her high school once, and I know there are several other Elises around there as well. Because Fort Mill is so close to Charlotte, a lot of people are moving there because it's convenient to Charlotte but has lower taxes. (Car enthusiasts in particular like it because South Carolina doesn't require yearly vehicle inspections like North Carolina does). And thanks ALB15!
It's actually the main street of a development called Baxter Village, which is sort of like a town within a town! Wish I could spot more in Fort Mill, but since my aunt moved back to the north side of the state line last year, I just don't really have a reason to drive down there anymore, which is a shame because there are a lot of cool cars running around.
