I've always thought this car looks boring. Obviously it's very aggressive looking but IMO its a very typical design for modern supercars. It just doesn't come off unique to me. Maybe it's because I'm a huge mclaren fan and when I heard Daimler and mclaren had teamed up to make a
Mercedes Mclaren I got really excited. I figured the gobs money and endless team of designers and engineers from Daimler/Mercedes plus the genius of mclaren could possibly create one of the coolest, fastest cars in the world. I followed the project extremely closely and even from the first spy shots released I was a bit anxious/unimpressed. It's not that it's a bad car, it's just not a great car. And for 500k plus, which two of the most prestigous names attached to it, it should have been great. It was an utter failure, sales were terrible and only hit their goal one year of production. I'm glad the team stopped there because now mclaren has released and extemely impressive supercar, and is working on the successor to the legendary F1, and mclaren has inserted a new flagship grand tourer in the Sls that is a GREAT car from all accounts. Both cars are unique and fast while fitting into reasonable price brackets. I love the design of the mclaren, it's simple, funtional, and beautiful, while the Sls design is worthy of its legendary name and predecessor. I'm sorry the collaboration didn't work out but now they are separately creating beautiful cars that out perform this gawdy failure while priced at less than half the sticker of the slr.\rant
