I love the SLR, but absolutely cannot stand the fact that its only transmission is a slow, archaic 5-speed slushbox. Watching videos of the car and listening to how dreadfully long the gears are and how slow the thing shifts is just painful.
There's no reason that it couldn't have had either a proper manual, or a 6-speed single-clutch or dual-clutch tranny. Considering the cost of the car, and the group of elite supercars it was ranked with, you'd think they would have put a state-of-the-art transmission in it.
