Description Probably the first spot I ever took a picture of way back in 2001. 98 Diablo SV went by as I was heading to a friend's house and we just had to go get a better look. Word had it that this guy had a 360 Challenge around that time as well. I still think this car is just stunning. Found this the other day and thought I'd share. Best I could do on the quality front - good thing it's yellow!
Nice on the spots. I'm familiar with wozyello guy and that whole story. Met him a few times at shows around town a few years back. It's interesting - that was the second car crashed by the auto group in a couple years (Crown Acura wrecked an orange 05 NSX).
I've seen two Murcielagos on the road in NC, one LP640 Coupe and one LP640 Roadster. I did get a decent shot of the Coupe, which I posted a while back. Only seen two Aventadors thus far, a Coupe and a Roadster, both of which I have posted on here as well. Saw the Diablo Roadster a couple months ago in Charlotte....it was about 9:30 on a Saturday morning. Was sitting in the left turn lane on South Blvd waiting to turn onto East Blvd when I saw a flash of silver as it drove through the intersection. I would have been able to get a pic of it if there weren't any cars in the lanes on my right, but they blocked my view. I also managed to spot a Countach 5000 QV a couple months ago at a bar in Charlotte, and a very long time ago when I was about six, I apparently saw either a 350 GT or 400 GT up near Lake Lure (according to my dad). Is the infamous LP640 you're talking about the yellow one that was wrecked in Greensboro, I think by a Lamborghini mechanic? The owner lives in Charlotte and has a white one now, with the plate WOZYELLO. He used to have a yellow 360 Modena.
Thanks! I agree, I lived in NC and spent a lot of time around these cars, and the only V12 lambo I've spotted on the road since was the infamous LP640 and its replacement from the Charlotte area. Diablos are insanely hard to find - the only ones I've ever seen on the road since were a 6.0 in Sonoma and a roadster in the Mar-a-Lago parking lot at Cavallino this year. It's easier to see many of the hypercars on the road than some diablos it seems!
Unbelievable find! I've only seen one Diablo (I believe it was a Roadster but only got a quick glance of it) but missed it. Very difficult to spot older Lambos as the years go on.
