Not making a fuss either, just sharing an opinion and analogy for sake of conversation. People put non-stock wheels on all the time, but there is something unusual about putting rims from the same manufacturer but a much different era on a car.
On the third pic with the alternate wheels, those are the stock rims for that SV, just chromed. I'm good with that and even aftermarket. I think 1 gen ahead is generally good, especially to give a refresh (even something like putting DBS wheels on a DB9), which would be 6.0 wheels in this case, or Murci wheels on a 6.0 and so on. I do think regular F430 wheels look weird on 360s though when I've seen that, so plenty of room for exceptions :)
Personally, I think both of those rim choices in your links look great, with a slight preference towards the ones on the SV. The retro style wheels, on their own, are ugly. But put them on a Diablo, and they just look 'right' to me. I suppose the ones on this Diablo are simply too modern and flashy for my taste.
And to think they put the cones around the Infiniti. Now though the question is what happened to the Murcielago who's wheels that Diablo is now wearing?
Nice find! In a way, putting Murci wheels on a Diablo bugs me more than putting aftermarket rims. What's wrong with regular Diablo wheels anyway? Plus, those might even be LP640 wheels, so it's like skipping 3 gens ahead. Like putting 458 wheels on a F355
