Jaguar E-Type spotted in Greenwich, Connecticut

Details on This Jaguar E-Type:

  • Location
    Greenwich, Connecticut
  • Description
    This REAL Jaguar Kougar Race Car was on Arch Street. I know it's real because it had a historical license plate on it. Only a few cars in New York state have one because you are not allowed to drive it for daily transportation, and can only take it to car shows and parades. If this guy were to crash it, insurance would not cover it if he was just going to the local supermarket.

I have subfolders for my edits. They aren't as good as most of the higher ranking users, but I don't post anything now unless it's been edited.

I have about 25 folders that i use to organise my photos. I have a to post photo and in there i have a folder for just Jaguars, just porsches, just ferraris. Then i have the to post on flickr folder and a online folder (with both a watermarked subfolder and a not watermarked subfolder) and there's a lot more folders too.

Haha, I have at least six different folders; Exotics, Classics, Ricers, Cars & Coffee, Ricers, 2014 Models. The shots are really beginning to pile up.

I am, as a matter of fact. I have a folder on my computer titled "Needs to be posted on ExoticSpotter" with my spots in them. This one has been sitting in that folder for quite some time.

LOLOLOLOLOLOLOL, it's really funny you mentioned that, Brendon. My dad has a 1990 Honda CRX that is currently out of commission, but when, or if we get it fixed, he wants to get historic plates for it.

At this moment, a first-year Honda CRX could have Antique/Historic plates.

Well, so much for spotting something good...

And also, your car has to be 25 years or older to be marked as historic

@AlpinaYLO: I had no idea these were so rare!
@Mazdafreak: Thank you!
@dallasexotics10: I have no idea. My dad wanted to get a historical license plate for his 1990 Honda CRX, but to do that, you need special collector's car insurance, you have to go to the DMV, turn your old plates in, and you are not allowed to drive in on public streets. That's why many, MANY vintage cars you see with New York plates on them are not historic plates.

This a rare Jaguar Kougar. About 315 were built in total. It's built on a tube frame chassis and uses parts from a 1960s Jaguar S-Type.

Great spot, I have seen a green one just like this at a show before. Why does New York have those laws? I wouldn't even bother registering it in NY, I would keep it in CT. L/F
