So I found out more about the P1. The owner will keep it listed at McLaren for $1.9 million but is going to keep it at his residence and in his possession. He is only going to sell it if he gets that price, otherwise he will hold onto it.
I agree, people who missed the chance to get one at first now are going to pay premium for one. I think the prices will go over value but settle once the hype dies down.
Yeah the value of those exclusive cars is continuing upward. A guy that bought a 918 Spyder here in Utah has been offered at least half a million dollars more than what he spent on it from random wealthy buyers.
I know the owner info and address, yes, sold Covergirl, and yes, 100+ cars including a P1, 918, LaFerrari, Toyota 2000Gt, Ferrari Daytona, Aston DB4, SLS, etc....
This W16 guy knows what he is talking about, i have heard from reliable people the same things. I hear he used to be the owner of cover girl or something like that. If anyone has an address for him or name that would be great! I want to contact him about some car shows. I hear he lives about 15 minutes from jarretsville and 10 minutes from hunt valley. So he lives about 5 or 10 minutes from the PA border, but does live in MD
Hm, interesting because I was told the sapphire black P1 was going to him, not a black one. Sapphire black is actually a dark blue and that doesn't look like it. I do know of 2 other black ones that went through McLaren Philadelphia, one is in PA and maybe the other actually went to him? I dunno, but that is the same LaFerrari (I assume), and that silver Dino (I assume) was at the show where he displayed the LaFerrari, so it makes sense too.
EDIT: yeah the guy told me it was #129 so that is his collection.
I think I just accidentally came across pics of what seems to be this guys collection on Instagram. In it is this, black P1, Ferrari Dino, Ferrari Daytona, Toyota 2000GT, black Carrera GT, BMW 506, MB 300SL x2, etc...
Profile @s54e30m3 (he isn't the owner)
I'm not familiar with Maryland but McLaren Philadelphia told us P1 #129 (sapphire black) was going to the Baltimore area and that the owner also had this LaFerrari and was awaiting a 918.
