Description While making friends with the fellow Japanese car spotters, this beauty rolled past. If you look really closely, you can see the owner looking at us, smiling and waving.
Thankyou very much Lamborarri! This was the 3rd F40 I've ever seen, and first I've captured on the road. Now, seen 4 F40's to my name, including an F40 LM (20 of 20) at Bingo Sports!
@21Luke21 Just checked your Flickr page. Lol at this 911 "itasha"...https://www.flickr.com/photos/134018340@N05/30198836540/ I love this shot (even though I think the owner have ruined his classic 911...)
Btw that anime girl is Takane Shijou from the anime iDOLM@STER.
Crazy spot! Hey Luke, I don't if you heard but there's a big group of Lamborghini owners with LED lights all over their cars plus highly customized and they cruise on the highways at night.
Thankyou Morgan! I've got plenty more to post. The Koenigsegg Agera RSR was my first post back, so nothing will beat that.
Cheers Vinnie. I have a mate of mine who lives in Japan who is a spotter. So, when I met him, we met with all the fellow spotters that Ken knows, and we all started chatting, and spotted together. It was awesome to talk to people about an insane car culture in a different country. Reminds me of how slow NZ spotting is compared to Japanese spotting!
Great spot. How did you make friends with the local spotters? Did you meet them randomly on the streets or just know some of them already before you go to Japan?
Cheers Charlie! This was my first time getting a photo of an F40 on the road. Missed one in NZ cruising with an F50 about 6/7 years back. Didn't even care about cars then... whoops!
Thanks Daniel! It could very well be his F40, as you said, he enjoys cruising round in his cars. Was talking with my mate who was spotting with me at the time, and I vaguely remember him saying a name that sounded similar to that. Cheers for the information about it!
Thanks waddle for the comment! This was my third ever F40, and second one on camera. First at a dealership, second here. Hope to see more cars like these roaming around instead of sitting pretty in a garage!
That very well could be Kazuo Maruyama's F40. He's got possibly one of the top collections in the world, and I heard he often cruises in his cars to let people see them. Also owned the first Ferrari in Japan. Huge congrats on the spot!
