The 458 looked great when it came out, and despite its looks, hasn't aged as well in the 3 or so years its been out as the Gallardo has in 10, which Is weird, but I think the 458 spider looks so much better imo.
My favorite Gallardo design is the LP560 body style with the revised front and rear fascias, and my favorite model is definitely the VB/LP550-2.
Looks-wise, the 458 isn't bad, but I absolutely hate the front end, between the awful catfish whiskers and the headlights with their afterthought LED light strips that are a mile long. Then throw in the fact that it isn't even offered with a manual option and the whole car just loses a lot of appeal with me.
@QC: oh that's interesting. I really am surprised on how much he drives the gallardo though, probably to rub it in all of those Ferrari drivers' faces lol. But I would take a 458 over that though.
Brandon, when I talked to the guy (Gallardo and Elise owner) last year, he still had his Elise at that time, which is also supercharged. Says he wasn't too excited by Ferraris as they've become too common lol.
That is awesome! I see a red Gallardo driving around here about every other time I go out, I think the owner has a white lotus, but I haven't seen him driving it since last summer, when the Gallardo showed up.
