Hi everybody. I'm gonna put this one to rest. I've seen this Yellow "250 GTO S1 Spyder" twice. It is NOT a real GTO (duh). It was originally 250GT PF Coupe serial #1443GT. It was rebodied by Mark Gerrish here in Wisconsin for Hilary Raab several years ago. It was featured in Monterey way back in '94, but this year was the first time it's been out in a long time so it's taking quite a few people by surprise. Awesome car, and detail-correct for the most part, so it's a convincing creation. Real Ferrari? Yes. GTO? NO.

Alright then. You seem to be some kind of 250 expert or something, but it is a legit 250 and i seemed to have been mislead to believing in its GTO heritage. Glad to see it is a 250 though and in my taste a better looking one than factory. Where are the crashed/totaled GTOs from your list though? I know this is not a GTO but where are the ones that are in pieces? It is as if they never existed. It cant be that all have been repairable...?

The car was obviously changed after the fact. It was ordered with no paint in the first place so who knows what else. Please, if you haven't, take a glance at that article.

I appreciate the presented information, but due to the fact there is little documentation on this car, neither one of us can prove or disprove of its legitimacy. But in time, more could be heard of this car. We'll just have to watch

Look man, you had to be there for yourself. This very well could have been a variation of 250 that is non GTO but i have to take the word of the owner and presenter of the car.

The article is from Prancing Horse magazine which is a Ferrari Club sanctioned factual organization. Any more questions?

Andrew, isn't that list only for 1962?

First page of article clearly says "prototype" 250 GTO which would explain why not in registry.

Did you not read the final paragraph in the article in question? States that this is a speciale of its own. Similar to the NARTs the Drogos and the many others of the time.

This was a real 250 chassi car with an actual 250 engine from the Ferrari line converted to the owners taste of a cabrio. Whats with all the hateful bullshit comments? Ill post a picture i took of the description. Ive got a pic of the car on my profile.

your actually probably right Andrew about not modifying one of these

no rappers could afford to get their hands on one of these, much less appreciate them

there was a legit 250 there, but it was under a tarp, and not a legit spot anyways, it was a t a track. Still, from what i saw of those pipes...
