@CarsForPlayNM These cars are pretty much just for propaganda. They are only used for ticketing drivers, if anything, and that is a rare sight. Mostly they just drive to tourist hotspots to show off.
@xXFerrariFanXx There are no taxes in Dubai. All the money for Police spending comes from government money. The government here has a tonne of money that they use to build up tourism as we don't have any oil to bring in money...
so do the police actually buy these cars or are they just loaned or something. Just a police force with enough money to get a one-77 and veyron seems a bit ridiculous. How do police departments even make money? do they?
on a side note nice spot man, love the shot :)
I agree with Eeti. I don't like the Veyron because it took over a decade of engineering, tons of money to get a car that was really fast, but in only a straight line. The Mclaren F1 is inarguably a fantastic display of engineering, so I'll use it as my example. It took Murrays team (25 years ago mind you), 4 years and considerably less money to build a car that was unintentionally nearly as fast as the Veyron, and it could actually handle under the hands of a proper driver. The Veyron's claim can't come near this, while manufacturers like Pagani, Koenigsegg, Ferrari and some others do and have repeatedly. This is why I flippantly say that the Veyron sucks; Because it blows.
Awesome combo! Shows that they obviously have way too much money if they can't find anything better to do with it than have promo cars for the police department.
Veyrons blow? LOL you have to appreciate the car not for speed or price but for the engineering that goes into it. Watch how they are made and then rethink the comment. Unless you just are basing that they "blow" based off a visual appearance.
