I think it is more likely an R Type as opposed to a Mark VI. The Mk. VI ran from 1946 to 1952. The R Type from 1952 until 1955. The R Type was distinguished by the introduction of the 4 speed automatic transmission as an option. Engine capacity was increased. And dual exhaust. This car is not "concours", add-on front turn signals are not correct, missing wing rear view mirrors, missing windscreen wiper arms, etc. but a nice looking example, and a good spot.
