Power isn't everything, and the GTI still scoots around pretty good for the power it does have. The GTI is probably the most refined in its class, but the WRX is a bit faster because it has the help of AWD off the line, which makes its 0-60 times seem faster than normal.

I was looking at the GTI Golf,but it seems very under powered compared to most of the cars in this class. The current gen WRX Impreza is really the only other car that I would take over the MS3. If only they where a little cheaper.

Yeah I agree about the RX-8. If I could get a post 2009 with a six speed manual and the R3 package I think I'd be set! What about something like a late model Acura RSX, do you like those?
